On Saturday, June 27, 2026, from 1:30 - 3:00 p.m. our first Outside the Silos Conversation will take place focusing on the topic of Homelessness in Waco.  Father Jason, Bethie Timmons, Sylvia Stainbeck and Rebecca Erickson will be facilitating the conversation.  Our afternoon starts with a snack and some brief information sharing about what homelessness looks like specifically in our community directly.  Afterwards we will have facilitator led discussion on the information followed by a group sharing time. There will be a second round of discussion with new questions and foci taken from our group conversation, and a final round of sharing before we close in prayer.

These conversations are meant to begin loosening the deep divides that important issues in our communities can become "siloed" in and this is why we chose the title "Outside the Silos" for these thematic conversations.  The goals at each are about sharing information, listening to one another with openness instead of hostility, and creating a culture of respect and safety.  These are the initial, essential ingredients that could lead to opportunities for powerful change to happen in our community on any of these issues...
